Scientific Council: High potential for Translational Neuro- and Behavioral Sciences
In its latest report, the Scientific Council has attested a high potential for the research focus Translational Neuro- and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical Faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen. According to the council, this is due to the excellent networking in this field and to the fact that excellent researchers have been acquired to Essen in the past years. "We were very pleased with the vote of the council and are encouraged to further intensify our efforts to attract large collaborative research projects. With the approval of the DFG research group ImmunoStroke, we have already achieved our first great success this year," says Prof. Christoph Kleinschnitz, Director of the Clinic for Neurology, who heads the research center together with Prof. Manfred Schedlowski, Director of the Institute for Medical Psychology and Behavioral Immunobiology.
